Qur'an Competition
We hold annual Qur'an Competitions because we want students to strive for excellence in their recitation. Students are grouped according to year level and are expected to recite from memory certain Surahs in front of an audience that includes many parents.
Students from Year 1 and Year 2 participate in this Qur'an Competition. They have to pass the semi-final and other smaller competitions that lead to the final competition. The finalists are judged by experts who have a thorough knowledge of the Qur'an and its recitation rules. For the students, their parents and their Qur'an Teachers this competition is an important event and the most dedicated and accomplished students receive a book prize.
