Science 
Science learning in Reception to Year 2 at the Islamic College of South Australia aims to provide the students with knowledge about the world around them. The learning areas of Earth and Space, Matter, Energy Systems and Life Systems are explored through a contextual approach. Science helps students become aware of their surroundings, develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills giving them a greater understanding of the natural world.
Students study science by:
- experimenting and predicting
- constructing
- investigating and researching
- discussing and questioning
- sorting and classifying
- observing and evaluating
- documenting and reporting
Students are encouraged to dicsuss, share and enjoy their science learning experiences with others.
