Creative Art Excursion
Last year (2005) the Years 8 to 10 students went on a full day excursion to the Botanic Gardens for a guided walk of "The Aboriginal Plant Use Trail" where they learnt about the plants used by different Aboriginal groups across Australia. Afterwards they went to Tandanya for Art and Craft workshops. The students painted a canvas with Aboriginal Artists based on the theme of coming together of Tandanya, our school, and the Artists running the workshops. The students created an appropriate symbol to represent their values in life.
The Year 10 students visited the SSABSA (Senior Secondary Assessment Board of South Australia) Art Show where they were inspired by the Art, Craft and Design work prepared by students for Year 12 Assessment.
