Primary Co-Curriculum
Qur'an Competition

Our annual Qur'an Competition plays a big role in our school life. Students from Years 3 to 6 are expected to recite from memory a certain part of the Qur'an. In their recitation they have to apply the Qur'anic Tajweed Rules.
The Qur'an Competition is very challenging because the students have to pass various stages before they can compete as finalists. In front of a large audience, which also includes many parents, students attempt to deliver their best recitation. Their performance is assessed by judges who have a thorough knowledge of the Qur'an and its recitation rules.
We are proud of our Qur'anic Education Program and it is a pleasure to see our students being so excited about this competition. They enjoy learning their Surahs and we are told by many parents that students use every opportunity to practise their part in their spare time. We thank our wonderful Qur'an teachers for inspiring our students and our parents for supporting this competition so enthusiastically.
