Creative Arts   Art - Icon

Students at the Islamic College of South Australia develop their skills in different art forms, including visual arts, drama, media, music, coordination activities and movement. Students are encouraged to explore and express their ideas through a broad range of approaches within social and cultural considerations.

Students can express themselves individually or together by presenting, performing and displaying their work within the school or the wider community, such as school assemblies, School Open Day, the Middle Eastern Cultural Festival, and Harmony Day. Our students can also participate in the school choir and the junior recorder group. Some students have their art displayed at the Royal Adelaide Show and other public places. Occasionally our students present their artistic skills to local and international visitors.

We encourage our students to critique, analyse, interpret and reflect upon all forms of art which helps to develop their knowledge and understanding of key learning areas. We want our students to appreciate that the Arts play an important role in shaping a sense of social and cultural identity. Our students have many opportunities to find enjoyment in and a connection to diverse artistic expressions that have their origins in a multitude of cultures.
