Studies of Society and Environment 
In Years 3 to 6 at the Islamic College of South Australia we want our students to appreciate differing perspectives on issues that shape their world.
SOSE involves the study of social, cultural, religious, historical & ecological systems. Using inquiry-based learning we encourage students investigate these areas and to widen their perspectives. SOSE expands learners' knowledge and understandings of their own and other societies, and of local and global environments. The learning area is organized into four strands of:
- Time, Continuity & Change
- Place, Space & Environment
- Societies & Cultures
- Social systems
Studies in these topics are designed to increase students' awareness of issues that directly impact their lives.
